Infectious Disease Specialist Access Pilot Project

The A2SC Infectious Disease Specialist Access Pilot Project(IDSAPP) is designed to bridge the gap in access to trained infectious disease specialists necessary to improve antimicrobial stewardship programs throughout Alaska. Acute Care Hospitals and Long-Term Care Facilities cohoused with Critical Access Hospitals are invited to participate in the six-month, statewide pilot project. The goal of the project is to enhance infectious disease case review and optimization of antibiotic treatment and strengthen internal ID resources through education and training.
