The Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association represents hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care organizations. We are a recognized leader in state health care policy. Our membership spans geographically from PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center to Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital in Utqiaġvik. Our diverse association unites every small rural hospital and large hospital system in the state around common goals. The location

The position is located in the ASHNHA office in downtown Juneau with free parking.

Job Summary

The Program Assistant position works closely with the ASHNHA team to support strategic priorities.  The Program Assistant completes special projects and provides administrative support for ASHNHA staff with a special emphasis on supporting Legislative advocacy and patient safety/quality initiatives. The position will provide administrative support to the policy team during legislative session.

The job requires good organizational skills in order to prioritize and accomplish assigned tasks.  Knowledge of Alaska and strong communication skills are critical to be able to effectively accomplish tasks.  Must be able to work independently.
